Dashboard: workflow and problems

The six steps from the import to the publication with their state, and the list of open problems with buttons to fix them.

The dashboard is the start page of a competition in the Manager: “Open competition” in the list under “Competitions” leads here, and in the navigation it is under “Overview”. The workflow is at the top, the problems below.

Workflow

Six steps, each with “Done” or “Open”, a count and a button to the matching page:

  1. Import the entries from the portal: upload the entry portal's Excel export under “Boats” → “Excel import”. Done as soon as the competition has boats.
  2. Assign the qualification modes: give every race class with boats a mode. See Qualification modes.
  3. Export the schedule template: “Download schedule template” contains all planned races, including the missing ones. Fill in race numbers and start times.
  4. Import the schedule template: upload the completed template under “Tools”; missing races are created. See Tools.
  5. Draw the races: draw the lanes of the first races of every race class. See Create races and draw lanes.
  6. Ready for publication: done when all steps before are done and no problem is open.

Problems

The bar above the lists shows every section with its count and jumps there. An empty section shows “No problems.”

  • Active and substitute in the same race class: athletes who are active in one boat and substitute in another boat of the same race class. The Excel import keeps such boats. “Remove substitute seat” takes the athlete out of the substitute seats of this race class, “Fix all” does so for everybody after a confirmation. The active seats stay.
  • Boats without a race: boats that are in no race after the draw, for example later late entries. Choose a free lane in a first-stage race and click “Place”.
  • Open late registrations: “Accept” or “Reject”. For boats you enter the late fee, at most the race class's late fee. “All late registrations →” opens the page with the crew comparison.
  • Rest time violations: athletes whose races are too close together. You choose the rule set under “Rest time settings →”.
  • Races missing for the qualification mode: races that “Generate races” or the schedule template import would still create.
  • Races outside the competition days: races starting before the first or after the last competition day.
  • First-stage races without lane assignments: races a race class starts with that have no boat on a lane yet.

Clicking a race class in the last two lists opens the race.
