Enter a boat

Enter a boat step by step: select club, competition and race class, confirm the rules, select the crew and submit.

You enter single boats on the Entries page. For many boats at once, Enter several boats: matrix, Excel and copying is faster.

Step by step

1. Select club, competition and race class

Select your club, then the competition, then the race class. The race classes are listed with their number before the name (“3012 K1 Herren LK 500m”) and can be searched by number, name, boat class and age class. Open classes are at the top, followed by “(late entry only)” and finally “(entries closed)”.

2. Confirm the rules

The portal shows the rules of the class: crew size, substitute seats, age and gender, whether a boat name is required, deadlines and fee. Choose “Confirm rules and select crew”. You confirm the rules once per visit; after that, further classes open the crew directly.

3. Select the crew

Select an athlete for each seat. The athletes who fit by age and gender come first; the others are grayed out with the reason (“too young”, “other gender”, “birth year missing”). You can also find athletes by their license number. You enter substitutes, coxswain and substitute coxswain in their own seats.

Depending on the competition and class, the boat name is required, optional or not used at all.

4. Review and submit

“Review entry” checks the entry without saving it and shows a summary with class, crew, boat name and fees. Rule violations are already shown here. “Submit entry” saves the entry as binding.

You receive an entry receipt by e-mail. The new boat appears in the list right away, together with the shortcuts “Same crew in another class” and “Continue with the next class”.

Important rules

  • Age counts in the year of the competition: competition year minus birth year.
  • In canoe sprint and canoe marathon, an athlete may be active in only one boat per race class and then nowhere as a substitute. As a substitute only, they may be listed in several boats.
  • The age and gender limits of the class do not apply to coxswains.
  • If the class allows pool boats, you can “Register as pool boat”; then athletes from other clubs are possible too, and the costs are split proportionally among the clubs.
  • If you change the club, competition or class in the middle of an entry you have started, the portal asks before it discards your input.

A boat number only exists after the draw

Before the draw, a boat has no start number. In your lists you recognize it by class, boat name, crew and your club's entry number (“Entry no.”), which counts up from 1 for each competition.

If an athlete does not fit the age or gender of the class, an exception request helps. After the entry deadline, see also Late entries and exception requests.
