Frequently asked questions

Short answers to typical questions from clubs and organizers.

For clubs

I cannot find the competition to enter. Entries are only possible for published competitions. Check in the Entry portal whether the competition is listed there and whether entries are open. If you belong to several clubs, first select the right club on the entries page.

I do not see the menu item “Entries”. You need an active membership in a club. Request membership or wait until the club manager accepts your request; see Join or create a club.

An athlete is missing from the selection or is grayed out. The selection only contains athletes of your club in the sport of the competition. Athletes who do not fit the class by age or gender are grayed out; the reason is shown next to them. If the birth year is missing, add it in the athlete list. For an exception there is the exception request.

The entry deadline has passed. Can I still enter? Only as a late entry, if the organizer allows late entries for the competition and the class. The late entry also costs the late entry fee and must be accepted by the organizer.

An athlete drops out. What should I do? Before the athlete entry deadline, you change the crew yourself. After that, until the late entry deadline, the change becomes a request to the organizer, and the boat stays unchanged until the organizer decides; after the race has started, the organizer decides. If the boat cannot start at all, withdraw it (from the entry deadline on: “Request withdrawal”). See Change, withdraw or delete an entry.

Why is a withdrawn boat still in the cost statement? When you withdraw a boat, the entry fee remains. Only a deleted boat drops out of the cost statement, and a club can delete only until the entry deadline.

Where is my start number? The organizer assigns boat numbers during the draw. Before that, you recognize a boat by its class, crew and your club's entry number.

Where do I find the cost statement and the bank details? On the entries page in the “Status and costs” card; see My entries, start times and costs. The portal does not create invoices.

I get too many e-mails. Under Account, set the e-mail notifications to “Once a day, collected” or “No notifications”.

For organizers

I cannot publish the competition. The readiness check names the errors. Often the sport, dates, entry deadline or race classes are missing, or the organizer has not been confirmed by e-mail yet. You must confirm warnings one by one.

I cannot change the bank details. Only the owner of the organizer changes the bank details.

A club gets in touch after the entry deadline with a new boat. Create the boat yourself under Boats; it automatically becomes an accepted late entry. Or the club enters it late, if late entries are allowed, and you accept the late entry.

“Draw class” is locked. The class has no races yet. First assign a qualification mode and choose “Generate races”.

Spectators do not see any results. On the Publication page, choose “Switch public results on” and set the display of the races to “Race with results” (or use automatic publication when marking races official).

How do helpers get access? Via Helpers with roles; the person needs their own account. Timekeepers without an account use a device key.

Results

Where do I find start lists and results? Under Results, without signing in. See the guide Finding results.

A result shows “Provisional”. The times have been recorded, but the organizer has not marked the race official yet. Places and times can still change until then.

Do I have to reload the results page? No. During the competition, new results appear by themselves as long as the page shows “● Live”.

General

Why are all times in 24-hour format? The portal shows all times in 24-hour format and in the time zone of the competition (Germany).

Who helps if something does not work? Questions about a competition (deadlines, fees, late entries) are answered by the organizer; their contact details are on the competition page. For technical problems with the portal, write to us using the contact form; see Contact.
